A warm welcome awaits you at Moorcroft Holidays.

We are a family run campsite situated on a working croft 1 mile south of Carinish village, North Uist on the main A865 through the Southern Isles.

The site is positioned overlooking a tidal bay with stunning views of Benbecula and the hills of South Uist.

Whether it's fishing, birdwatching ,walking/cycling the Hebridean Way or simply taking time out to relax, Moorcroft Holidays is the perfect base for you.

We are 11 miles from the ferry terminal at Lochmaddy, 18 miles from the ferry terminal at Berneray and 8 miles from Benbecula airport and local amenities.

Open from April to October.

  • Hardstanding pitches with electric hookup, suitable for motorhomes and touring caravans.
  • Grass pitches suitable for tents (with electric hookup available for some pitches by arrangement).
  • Our modern heated amenities block has showers, toilets, wash hand basins, hairdryer and full disabled facilities.

We are located directly on the Hebridean way and are ideally situated for an overnight stay.

From Vatersay to the Butt of Lewis, The Hebridean Way is a truly iconic island experience not to be missed.

Spanning nearly 200 miles across 10 breath taking islands, the route boasts rugged hills and dazzling Atlantic coastline. 

With 2 separate routes for walking and cycling, the Hebridean Way is an awe-inspiring trail defined not only by the rich and diverse landscape - but by the helpful and friendly folk you’ll meet as you go.
